Most
of us have been in a situation when we were cold and didn’t have the right clothing to stay warm. It is an uncomfortable
feeling that leaves you unable to think about much else other than how cold you are. Unfortunately for
millions of people, this can be a constant problem. Sometimes a warm coat is all it takes to ease a burden
and warm a heart.
Please consider donating your warm outerwear (coats, jackets,
hats, mittens/gloves) in both adult and children’s sizes to our OneWarmCoat Drive. Items will be
donated to a local shelter.
A donation box will be set-up in
the MU room, starting Monday, Dec. 7th or bring your donations to Pasta Night (Dec. 15)
or the Green Gator Used Book Sale (Jan 15h & 16th).
We will
be supporting three local agencies:
Shelter Inc. has a residential shelter for families (men women and kids) that are homeless the specific shelter name is
Mountain House Love a Child Missions is a recovery shelter for homeless women and children generally affected by substance abuse.
